Dan Dubay Dan's interest in radio began when he was 8 years old listening to countdown shows by Casey Kasem and Rick Dees. Late at night he would listen to Wolfman Jack broadcasting from The Mighty 690 out of Mexico. While a freshman at Benson Technical High School in Portland he discovered the school had its own radio station and signed up for the next immediate opening. Over the past two decades, Dan worked throughout the Northwest for KAAR, MAGIC 107 and KISN, broadcasting on the air and as a producer. Ever since taking his honeymoon to Central Oregon, Dan and his lovely wife, Mary, looked for way to return, and did so in 2005 when Dan became the morning show host on LITE 95.1. Dan is also the Program Director for KQAK, and can be heard middays on KQAK . Dan has a son and daughter in college, and his youngest daughter is learning her alphabet. Dan promises her first sentence will be "Listen to my Daddy on LITE 95.1 and KQAK!" Dan also operates his own DJ entertainment business, helping produce and coordinate celebrations for receptions, corporate events and private parties. |
Jeffrey Brian Nelson Jeff comes from a long line of talent. His father, Larry Nelson, was the longest running Morning Show voice in Seattle. Jeff is following quickly in his father's footsteps as he has carried on the Morning Show tradition since 1988. Jeff's voice can be heard on KQAK in the Mornings, entertaining LITE 95.1's listeners during middays, and behind the scenes he is the steadfast Program Director for LITE 95.1. Jeff's delightful charm and quick wit creates a lot of laughter in the studio, and we are sure he does the same for those of you listening. Jeff also adds the role of husband and father to his resume. His lovely wife, Maggie, wants all of you to know that for as talkative as he is on the radio, he sure is soft spoken at home. Maggie spent 14 months with her Oregon National Guard unit in Afghanistan, and began a 14-month tour in Iraq in June of 2007. |
