Bill Baker joined Horizon Broadcasting Group as News and Public Affairs Director in 2006, and has established himself as a leading broadcast journalist in Central Oregon. Baker was News Director at KPUG-AM/KAFE-FM in Bellingham, WA from 1991 to 1999. He began his radio career in his hometown of Port Angeles, WA in 1980 at KAPY-AM, and later worked as News Director at KBRC-AM Mt. Vernon, WA and as Program Director at KXRO-AM/KDUX-FM in Aberdeen, WA. He is a two-time winner of the state of Washington Associated Press Best Newscast and Best Spot News Award. Bill is also heard on the nationally syndicated "Dairyline" radio program, and also serves as its General Manager of Operations. Baker hosts "Inside Central Oregon," a weekly public affairs program that airs on all six Horizon Broadcasting Group radio stations.
